Riyadh Season to Feature Mass Wedding for 300 Couples as Part of Social Initiative

Cairo: The upcoming edition of Riyadh Season, Saudi Arabia’s renowned entertainment and tourism festival, is set to make a grand statement with a mass wedding for 300 couples, announced by the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA). Turki Al Alsheikh, head of the GEA, revealed that the event will cater to 600 brides and grooms as part of the festival’s social responsibility efforts to support young Saudi couples. The ceremony will include a concert, a gala dinner, and a celebration aimed at providing a joyful start for these newlyweds. Al Alsheikh has urged businesses and companies across Saudi Arabia to contribute to this charitable initiative, ensuring a memorable experience for all participants.

Riyadh Season, which is scheduled to kick off on October 12, will feature 14 themed zones, 11 world championships, and 10 exhibitions. A key attraction will be the opening of the Boulevard Runway on October 28, a newly created entertainment zone developed in partnership with Saudi Airlines. This innovative zone will allow visitors to explore retired aircraft converted into restaurants and entertainment spaces, offering a unique experience with a capacity of 9,000 people. The fifth edition of Riyadh Season is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader vision to diversify its economy beyond oil reliance and boost tourism. Launched in 2019, the festival has grown into a major annual event, turning Riyadh into a vibrant global entertainment hub. The GEA, established in 2016, continues to play a pivotal role in organizing large-scale events, further cementing Saudi Arabia’s status as a key destination for international visitors.
